You Will Need:
Sage, 15 leaves
Okra, 2 lbs cut, in half lengthwise
Vegetable Oil, 1 quart
Salt, to taste
Recipe Serves: 8
1. Heat oil in a medium sized pot. Fry okra in batches until they are crispy and golden brown. Drain onto a paper towel and season with salt. Place on a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven until ready to serve.
2. Once all of the okra is fried, add the sage leaves to the oil and fry until the leaves are crispy. Drain onto a paper towel.
3. Once the sage leaves have cooled, crumble them over the warm fried okra.
